About the Role
As the Injury Management Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing and managing injury management processes and return-to-work plans for injured employees. This role aims to minimise lost time due to injury, and promote effective rehabilitation while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and workplace policies.
Key Responsibilities

Manage both work-related and non-work-related injuries from start to finish, fostering early intervention and effective case management for smooth return-to-work outcomes.

Design, implement, and monitor tailored return-to-work programs, coordinating with managers and stakeholders to identify suitable duties and guide employees through the process.

Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and worker compensation laws; maintain accurate records and stay updated on relevant legislative changes.

Maintain open communication with injured employees, medical practitioners, insurers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective treatment and rehabilitation.

Track and analyse injury trends, prepare reports on injury management activities and KPIs, and support continuous improvement in workplace health and safety.

Provide training for staff and management on injury management protocols, RTW processes, and injury prevention strategies.

Preferred qualities, education & experience :

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Occupational Health, or a related field.

2-3 years of experience in injury management, rehabilitation, or a similar health and safety role.

Certification in workplace injury management, return to work coordination, or rehabilitation coordination.

Knowledge of national workplace injury legislation and workers’ compensation systems.

Experience in case management and collaboration with insurance providers and medical professionals.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

The ability to prioritise, manage workload, and maintain composure in challenging situations.
