EGM Partners are working with SuperConcepts to recruit a Business Development Manager - SaaS.  We are seeking a results-driven and dynamic manager to lead the company's software sales & customer success efforts, with a specific focus on SuperMate enterprise relationships.  As a key member of the team, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for crafting and executing sales strategies to work with  accountants, financial advisers, wealth platforms and SMSF administrators.

About the role

Reporting to the Executive Manager – Partnerships & Engagement, you will develop and execute new software account plans to drive growth in B2B sales.  The role involves building strong relationships with current customers and creating a pipeline of future growth opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth Management Strategy that includes a formal plan for target clients understanding their needs, requirements and how we can provide service solutions.
  • Oversight of new relationship wins, including service delivery, pricing negotiations and delivery of education and marketing activities.
  • Oversee complex agreement negotiations with clients, working closely with client service, operations, and finance teams to ensure agreements are mutually beneficial and in compliance with company policies.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of the new account needs, operations and growth strategies and ensure we deliver the correct and profitable service.
  • Grow profitable revenue of our new accounts by the agreed budget amount.
  • Play an integral role in generating new business opportunities and potentially new accounts as long term relationships, focussing on the accountant and SMSF administrator segment.
  • Prepare regular reporting of progress against targets for new accounts, including internal budgets and
  • delivery of SLA’s per existing agreements with new accounts
  • Keep abreast with industry and market trends and best practices.

 

About you

You are a relationship builder with a strong desire to deliver technology solutions to clients especially within the accounting and superannuation sector. You thrive on solution sales in complex technology environments. This role will require you to do both—actively pursue software sales opportunities and provide on-boarding leadership for clients. It is imperative you have experience in leading change management programs from pre-sales to systems implementation and embedding.

You will also have a solid understanding of the SMSF industry and an established network of contacts and connections.  You are a diligent and adaptable individual with a strong track record of achievement in a similar role. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excel at building meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders. 

You will possess the following:

    • SMSF industry experience
    • The ability to identify SMSF intermediary networks and establish ongoing relationships.
    • Strong sales skills with the ability to develop strategic relationships.
    • Highly developed negotiation & demonstrated success generating new business.
    •  Experience working to KPI’s (including Sales, Activity & Quality measures)
    • Strong stakeholder/customer relationship management and retention experience.
    • Demonstrable experience and understanding of key account management such as sales, client account planning and technical communications/presentations.
    • Demonstrable evidence of communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Thorough understanding of the prevailing SMSF environment, industry, and business process.
    • Practical evidence implementing SMSF technical training and development programs.
    • Extensive experience managing the new business sales process end-to-end.
