About the opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a leading SA owned Construction services company with operations across Australia and New Zealand. You will play a crucial role in managing end to end payroll processes for our employees. You will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with relevant legislation, and provide support to staff regarding payroll inquiries.
Key responsibilities:
- Process end to end weekly Payroll for 1000+ employees
- Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, leave applications, and deductions.
- Manage superannuation funds to ensure records are up to date in Clearing House and
MicroPay, reconcile contributions, upload file and make payments - Preparation of year-end calculations, reconciliations and EOFY requirements
- End of month calculations, lodgement and payment of Payroll Tax
- Assist Finance with EOFY Work Cover lodgement
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and taxation requirements.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, entitlements, and deductions.
About you:
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in end to end payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and taxation.
- Proficiency in payroll software (Micropay and ConnX desirable).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
