EGM are proud to be partnering with TAFE SA in the recruitment for their Principal Consultant Inclusion and Equity; a vital role with the responsibility of creating and implementing plans to promote inclusion and equity throughout the organisation.

A newly developed role, you will possess strong experience in the areas of diversity and inclusion and be excited at the prospect of creating and implementing a whole new strategy of best practice and innovation for an organisation.

About the Role

The Principal Consultant Inclusion and Equity is responsible for creating and implementing plans to develop and promote inclusion and equity throughout TAFE SA. This role will ensure strategies are innovative and adopt best practice whilst adhering to legislative, reporting and policy requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement organisational-wide strategy to advance diversity and inclusion across TAFE SA and ensure targets and objectives are met.
  • Lead the development of strategy that reflects TAFE SA’s values with regards to recruitment, retention, inclusion and development of key target groups to create an inclusive and supportive work culture.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of inclusion and equity initiatives.
  • Embed systems that identify and report on trends on inclusion and equity inclusion issues within TAFE SA and develop strategies to mitigate potential workplace culture issues.
  • Partner with Executive and Managers to develop and implement Inclusion and Equity strategies to support the shaping of an inclusive culture across TAFE SA.
  • Interpret data, prepare reports to profile the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion programs and provide recommendations for improvement to enable leaders to make decisions.
  • Lead research projects into current trends emerging from data and drawing on best practice, nationally and internationally to identify approaches and systems which best support an inclusive and diverse culture.

What You Need To Bring To The Role

  • Ability to produce high-quality written documents, including briefings, reports, case notes and other relevant information.
  • High-level research, change management, project management and communication skills and the ability to interpret data and provide clear advice and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Experience in liaising effectively and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to facilitate cooperation and support in achieving project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in design and implementation of diversity and inclusion strategies in a large organisation.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure, respond to requests in a timely manner and achieve results within given time frames.
  • Demonstrated ability to developing and implementing significant policies, projects, or programs.
