EGM Partners are working with Netball SA to recruit a Partnerships Manager. We are seeking a results-driven and dynamic manager to lead Netball SA’s corporate and commercial partnerships.

Netball SA is responsible for the governance, development, promotion, and administration of netball throughout South Australia and has the responsibility for servicing its 35,000 members, the operations of Netball SA Stadium and the running of its elite team, the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

About the role
The Adelaide Thunderbirds are back-to-back premiers in the best netball competition in the world, the Suncorp Super Netball competition.
With the growth of the Adelaide Thunderbirds commercial portfolio and the move to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, now is an exciting opportunity to come on board and support the next phase of growth.
The role will be responsible for account management and servicing to Netball SA and Adelaide Thunderbirds Partners, including major and corporate partners.
This role will develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with partners through regular communication and liaison with relevant stakeholders. This role will also help achieve the overall commercial targets through servicing and retention of corporate partners, end of season reviews, proposal development and uplift within the Commercial portfolio. The role will also support the broader team delivery of corporate hospitality and merchandise and apparel as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with Netball SA and Adelaide Thunderbirds corporate partners and key internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure timely delivery of contractual partnerships benefits including; match day delivery, social and digital, player appearances, ticketing and event requirements
- Conduct mid-season and post-season partner reports, including market research and data insights
- Work closely with the Marketing department, to develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns for partners
- Work closely with the Events department to ensure delivery of game day activations and key partner events
- Support the broader team with new business strategies to achieve overall revenue targets
- Identify uplift opportunities across current sponsorship portfolio
- Provide monthly reports for Executive team
About you
You are a fast-paced, results driven account manager and relationship builder. You thrive on high energy within a high performing team and delivering creative solutions to large and small partners. This role will require you to both—actively support current partners and pursue new opportunities particularly within player sponsorship.
You will ideally have an understanding of the sports industry and prior experience managing sponsors and/or partner relationships. You are a diligent and adaptable individual with a strong track record of achievement in a similar role. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excel at building meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
You will possess the following
- Proven marketing or account management experience within the sports industry
- Experience in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and proven success in building relationships
- Outstanding communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Working with Children Check
- Drivers Licence
- Ability to work on weekends as needed.
