The Sustainable Infrastructure group is responsible for maximising value for their customers and the community through the development of innovative and optimised infrastructure plans and their efficient and effective delivery. This team plans, builds, manages, and maintains all of our water and sewerage assets across South Australia and business.


About the Role


As the Senior leader of the Infrastructure, planning and strategy team, you will steer the Asset Management strategy. This role will see you develop and drive effective data driven and risk based asset management frameworks, strategies and plans that enable optimisation of the whole asset lifecycle. Your responsibilities include:

  • Putting safety above all else
  • Building and leading an effective team that works collaboratively toward achieving SA Water’s goals
  • Continually improve and embed contemporary asset management practices and frameworks 
  • Setting a leading Asset Management strategy for managing the infrastructure portfolio
  • Developing customer centred and risk based Asset Management frameworks and systems for the Corporation
  • Developing innovative infrastructure planning strategies to drive optimised savings and efficiencies
  • Ensuring your team delivers customer and community value  


About You


We are looking for an experienced and inspiring leader. You will ideally have experience in asset management, including developing new and best practice processes and systems.

You will support your team through exciting and challenging times of change as well as champion efficiencies across the business. This role will see you lead a culture of innovation to deliver strategies and initiatives that capture opportunities across the asset lifecycle. We are looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Accounting, Project Management or similar equivalent experience
  • Strong experience in leading teams through change to achieve a sustainable high performing culture
  • Demonstrated experience in technical asset management and asset process improvements
  • Experience with strategic planning and commercial performance management including financial management
  • Highly developed communicating with impact skills to across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and an ability to build effective relationships
