About The Role
The primary purpose of the Business Development Manager (BDM) role is to acquire new business and retain existing business to grow company revenue and subscriber market share in the Medium Segment. Reporting to the Sales Manager, The BDM will need to be highly motivated, energetic with a can-do attitude to exceed business targets and execute strategies to grow market share in the SMB segment. The role will also involve working closely with a designated Lead Generation Consultant and Solutions Consultant to drive whole-of-business sales and extend market reach. In addition to winning new customers to Optus, the BDM will also action new cross sell opportunities allocated to them from within the customer base.
A proven track record of success in SMB sales, face-to-face relationship selling and prospecting new customer opportunities is vital and success in this role. This will be evident through the achievement of business targets such as new gross ads in mobiles, mobile broadband, fixed voice/data.
On top of this, you will bring to this role:
- The ability to effectively differentiate The Optus Business Centre from it's competitors
- Proven capability of selling the experience that Optus can provide customers
- The aptitude of engaging with Senior Executives across a range of SMB organisations.
